Welcome to Vola. These Terms & Conditions constitute a legal agreement between you ("User") and James Thang ("Service Provider") regarding your use of the Vola mobile application.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading or using the Application, you automatically agree to these terms. If you do not agree, you must immediately cease using the Application and delete it from your device.
2. AI Capabilities and Accuracy
Vola utilizes advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI) to provide real-time transcription, live chat, and summaries.
Accuracy: You acknowledge that AI-generated content may occasionally contain errors or "hallucinations." Vola does not guarantee the factual accuracy of any transcription, summary, or AI chat response.
Verification: You are responsible for verifying all AI-generated outputs against the original audio recording before relying on them for professional, medical, or legal purposes.
3. Recording Consent & Legal Compliance
Vola is a tool for capturing and analyzing audio.
User Responsibility: You are solely responsible for complying with all local, state, and international laws regarding the recording of conversations.
Consent: You must obtain explicit permission from all participants before recording or transcribing a conversation. The Service Provider disclaims all liability for unauthorized or illegal recordings made using the Application.
4. Data Processing & Third-Party AI
To provide its core features, Vola processes your data as follows:
Transcription & Analysis: Audio and text data may be securely transmitted to third-party AI providers (such as OpenAI or Google Gemini) for processing.
Privacy: These third parties are contracted to process data securely and are prohibited from using your personal data to train their general-purpose models.
Third-Party Terms: Use of Vola also subjects you to the terms of Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics.
5. Data Ownership & Deletion
Ownership: You retain ownership of the content you record and generate.
Account Deletion: In compliance with App Store requirements, you may delete your account and all associated data (audio, transcripts, and chat history) at any time via the in-app settings. Once deleted, this data cannot be recovered.
6. Intellectual Property
All trademarks, copyrights, database rights, and other intellectual property rights related to Vola remain the exclusive property of James Thang. You may not:
7. Service Availability & Connectivity
Internet: Some features (Live Chat, Translation, AI Summary) require an active internet connection. The Service Provider is not responsible for diminished functionality due to lack of Wi-Fi or mobile data.
Updates: You agree to accept all updates offered to ensure the Application remains compatible with your operating system.
8. Limitation of Liability
The Service Provider accepts no liability for any direct or indirect loss, data loss, or missed information resulting from the use of Vola, including device battery failure, AI inaccuracies, or loss of internet connection.
9. Changes to These Terms
The Service Provider may update these Terms & Conditions periodically. Continued use of the Application following any changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
